Yeah... It's that time of the semester

I am still awesome.

What can I say, I mean, aren't I?

I have basically given up on being a "good student." I don't care. I've seen what studying does to other students. You hear such phrases as, "I'm sooo tired, but I REALLY need to determine the empirical formula of Carbon TetraChloride..." Why? Does the fate of the planet rely on your determination of that formula? Oh, it doesn't? then shut the fuck up and get some sleep.

Then there are the people who give up social events so that they can do work. You offer them tickets to see their favorite band play, and they turn you down because, "I've got 20 pages to write this weekend, man..." Thats crap.

Then there are the people that spend five or more hours a day in the library doing work. I would do that too, except that I'm not quite sure where it is... I'm pretty sure we have one though.

Who are we doing the work for? Why do we believe that writing a research paper on gender equality in the French Revolution is going to make us smarter, wiser, or just plain "better"? College is a scam, they know you need/want their degree and as the providers of that degree, they are going to make you pay them for it, then waste countless man-hours that could be used for something productive, to do a lab report on the mating habits of fruit flies -- apparently, they are quite the frisky little fellows.

Anyway, lets all just crack open a cheap beer and toast the enlightened student, who realizes that this whole thing is really just a big crock of shit.
