Cabin Fever? Or Just Boredom?

It's been a few weeks now, since school ended, and I must admit that I haven't been doing much of anything. Sure I have a few things that keep me busy, we all do, but the vast majority of my time is spent trying to kill the vast array of insects found making a home for themselves in my basement, and trying desperately to convince myself that the zombies aren't trying to eat my brain.

Thats why summer is so damned boring. People just don't understand how to slack off anymore. I mean, the job market sucks anyway, and who wants to wash dishes for minimum wage anyway? We have illegal immigrants who will be far less jaded by that job than a college student on summer vacation -- who would you rather wash that fork you are about to use? Jose, who will take that $5.40/hour back to Ecuador and live like Bill Gates, or a college student, who can't even take his girlfriend to the movies on that salary? Unless you really enjoy anonymous crud on your silverware, I'd hedge my bets on Jose.

Sure, I'd like to bust out of this joint sometime soon, but that presents a number of problems. You see, every time I leave this house, some sort of monetary denomination seems to leave my pocket. There is gas for starters, then of course there is the price of whatever it is that I might intend to do. The cabin fever-induced hallucinations are entertaining enough at a price of damned free.

Whats the deal with all of this drive and motivation people seem to have nowadays anyway. You're just wasting some good time that can be spent doing battle with the closet zombies.
