What has the summer done to me?

Since I last updated you, on the 18th, I have gotten 48 hours worth of sleep, I have read about 40 pages of J.D. Salinger's Franny and Zooey, and I have been bored out of my mind. It wasn't exactly how I intended to spend the last three days, but alas, it is summer.

I have been intending to get a job since May 7th -- thats 14 days ago. It is somehow harder to find a job when you are never awake during normal business hours. Then again, I could always work for Vector Marketing, they are the annoying assholes who sell Cutco knives door-to-door. They are pretty sweet knives, but then again, if you aren't selling them it just might get a little too tempting...

As I've said, I started reading a novel yesterday, its Salinger, so I think my disestablishmentarianism (that'd be the opposite of antidisestablishmentarianism -- and no, I didn't win my school spelling bee, but my sister did) is still well rooted. Regardless, this is something very rare for me, and it truly reflects upon the ennui that has overtaken me -- I am reading for fun.

Finally, about 10 minutes ago I submitted an Op-Ed (Opinion-Editorial, I think) article to the editor of the Washington Post, this was in response to Warren Buffett's brain-fart, entitled "Dividend Voodoo". I doubt it will be published, but so as to conform to the terms of its submission I can't post it here or on BrianEwart.com until they have a chance at it; that means approx. 10 days.
