Last night I didn't sleep. It is creeping up on 5am or so, and I am obviously awake. Insulting drunk people on AIM is hard work, and God knows I work hard at it. I don't really understand why some people get so horribly belligerent when they drink, I mean, isn't that the opposite of the point of drinking?

Maybe I don't get it, but I always thought that people drink to have fun, make ugly people attractive, and ease participation in social activities. Belligerence, however, just seems to impede that social aspect. When you think of socialization, you generally think about people getting along and having a good time, that doesn't really work though, when one (or more) person is running around smacking people with his shoe.

Sometimes it is fun to pick a fight, hell I live by that. There are a few criteria though, you never pick a fight with someone who is bigger than you, and you certainly shouldn't pick one with someone smarter than you. Now, when you are drunk, everyone seems like a fair match, you could be looking at Mike Tyson and think that you could smack him around. Also, drunk people are always stupider than the person they might pick a fight with. So really, its always a better strategy to be friends with everyone when you're drunk. I mean, plus, if you are amenable, people will want to give you booze -- that is, especially if you are a complete ass when you are sober.

Oh, and you should always be a complete ass when you are sober. Always.
