I had to wake up before noon today. I really don't feel "fresh" unless I can sleep until at least 12:30, but this morning I had to take my dad to the Airport. Its one of those chores that is the essential product of summer living. While you are at home from college, you are always subjected to these tasks.

So, driving up to New York's Newark "Liberty" Airport, formerly known as New Jersey's Newark International Airport, was pretty easy this morning since most of the assholes are off of the roads by 9 am. I was only cut off by about 53 assholes instead of the usual 162, which is a pretty decent discount if you ask me. Not that I am saying there is anything wrong with assholes, I consider myself one of them, but when I am driving with my dad, I find it difficult to allow my own assholeness to overpower that of the other drivers.

Nonetheless, I got to the airport in record time, and dropped my dad off (hereafter referred to as Codename Y, because it sounds cool). Then, I had to duke it out with a bus to get into the thru-lane, which allows you to get the hell out of that place. There really is nothing better than getting the hell out of Newark, NJ too. I mean, outside of the Airport, there are people just lined up for a chance to knife you. Why? Because they don't like you.

Therein lies the duality of New Jersey, you see, behind the outward face of sprawling suburban jungles and oil refineries, lives the dark secret that is, "Newark and/or Camden" (imagine me saying that in a creepy voice). Places that actually look like cities, and for some reason, are cities. Also, it seems that people commit crimes there. Scary stuff, I know. And now for an random end to this equally random tangent....
